PTU Tut: Trick My Treat



Trick My Treat

This tutorial was written by me on August 28 using PSP X4. All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the newest tube from Keith Garvey.  You must have a license to use his art.  You can purchase his tubes/license at his store HERE.

Scrap Kit - I'm using an awesome kit from Irish Bitch Designs called "Witchypoo".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where you can purchase this great kit

Mask of choice

Font - I'm using Spinstee

To begin open your tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now - open a new 700 x 700 image white background

1.  Copy/paste frame3 as new layer - click inside frame - copy/paste paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - copy/paste your tube as new layer - position - hit delete - selections - select none - copy/paste your tube again as new layer - take eraser tool and remove the parts of tube hanging outside frame ( see my tag) - drop shadow bottom tube layer and frame

2.  Copy/paste the following elements as new layers resizing as needed and position them around the bottom of your tag:  bottle1, cat, cauldron, fire, pumpkin, shoe, and sign - add a dropshadow to each layer

3.  Copy/paste hat of choice as new layer - resize and rotate - position on top of frame - drop shadow - copy/paste spiderweb as new layer - resize - position over sign - adjust sharpness sharpen

4.  Click on white background - copy/paste paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply - delete original mask layer - merge group - copy/paste stars as new layer - resize - position - duplicate - position - drop shadow stars layers

5.  Copy/paste curls as new layer - resize and position on left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great kit by Lexi's Creations called " Farewell Summer".  Visit her blog here to find out where you can purchase this great kit.

Mask of choice

Font - I'm using M A Sexy

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now - new 700 x 700 image white background

1. Copy/paste wire as new layer - position in center of canvas - copy/paste flower of choice as new layer - resize - position towards the top left of wire - duplicate - image mirror - image flip - drop shadow your flower and wire layers

2.  Copy/paste leaves 1 as new layer - resize and rotate - position towards bottom left of wire - duplicate - image mirror - image flip - drop shadow both layers

3.  Copy/paste rose of choice as new layer - resize - position over leaves on bottom left - duplicate - image mirror - image flip - position - drop shadow both layers

4.  Copy/paste sparkles 1 as new layer - position - duplicate - position - copy/paste tube as new layer - resize if needed - drop shadow tube layer only

5.  Copy/paste feather of choice - resize - position on bottom of tube (if using one like mine) - duplicate - image mirror - drop shadow both layers

6.  Back on white background - copy/paste paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer from image - apply - delete original mask layer - merge group - you can add a sparkle to this  layer if you want

7.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

PTU Tutorial: Just A Treat

Just A Treat

This tutorial was written by me on August 27 using PSP X4. All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the amazing art of Keith Garvey.  You need a license to use his art and you can purchase tubes/license at his store HERE.

Scrap kit - I'm using a great kit by Gemini Creationz called " Every Witch Way".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to purchase this kit.

Template - I'm using Halloween Template 1 from Tracy F . You can download this template HERE.

Font - I'm using Jellyka Vampire Street

1.  To begin open your tube in PSP - minimize - Open your template - Shift+D to duplicate - canvas size 800 x 600 - flood fill white - delete copyright, word art, bat and spider layers

2.  Beginning with your mask layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste paper of choice into selection - selections - select none

3.  On circle 1 layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste another paper as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - delete original layer - repeat for other layers except frame layer

4.  On your frame layer - choose a gradient that matches your tag ( I chose a Halloween one) - selections - select all - float - defloat - layers - new raster - flood fill with gradient - select none - delete original frame layer - on flood fill layer - adjust - add/remove noise - setting your choice

5.  Copy/paste your tube as a new layer - resize if needed - position under frame layer ( see my tag ) - erase parts of tube you don't want showing - drop shadow - duplicate - on original tube change properties to Luminance (L) - on duplicate layer change properties to soft light - drop shadow your frame layer

6.  Copy/paste your tube again as new layer - position on tag - drop shadow

7.  Copy/paste any other elements you would like resizing if needed - arrange on tag - drop shadow each layer

8.  Close white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great kit by Schnegge's Scraps called "In The Woods".  You can purchase this kit at PMTw/S.

Font - I'm using Monika

This is a simple tutorial so to begin open tube in PSP and minimize - new 700 x 700 image white background

1.  Copy/paste Frame 01 as new layer - resize if desired - click inside frame with magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 8 - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none

2.  Click inside frame again - copy/paste tree 02 as new layer - resize if needed - duplicate - arrange - with eraser remove the parts of tree you don't want showing - copy/paste your tube as new layer (mine came with the wolf) - arrange - repeat with eraser tool - deselect - drop shadow your tree, frame, and tube layers

3.  Copy/paste torch as new layer - resize - position on left side of tag - drop shadow - copy/paste mushroom as new layer - resize - position on right side of tag - duplicate - resize again - position - drop shadow both layers 

4.  Copy/paste leaf03 as new layer - resize - rotate - position on left side of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers - copy/paste leaf 02 as new layer - resize - rotate - position on bottom of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers - merge down - move below other leaf layers

5.  Copy/paste butterfly of choice - resize - rotate - position on tag - drop shadow

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize to your preference - add copyright/license info and name

Scrap Kit - I'm using a beautiful fall kit from Pimp'd Designz called " Fall Days".  You can purchase this kit at PMTw/S.

Mask - I'm using WSL mask 125 which you can download HERE.

Font - I'm using Sverige Script Decorated

To begin open your tube and mask in PSP - minimize - new 700 x 700 image white background

1.  Open up frame 7 - copy/paste as new layer - resize - click on white background - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply mask and delete original mask layer - merge group - now resize your mask to fit your frame - copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize if needed - position making sure it is above frame layer if using one like mine - drop shadow tube and frame

2.  Copy/paste branch 2 as new layer - resize if needed - rotate - position on left side of frame - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers 

3.  Copy/paste flower 5 as new layer - resize - duplicate 2 x - position flowers on right side of frame - copy/paste pinecone as new layer - resize - duplicate 2 x - position on left side of frame - drop shadow all layers

4.  Copy/paste branch 3 as new layer - resize - rotate - position on bottom of frame - drop shadow

5.  Click on white background layer - copy/paste scatters of choice - arrange - around mask layer - drop shadow each 

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Filters - Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open your tube(s) in PSP - minimize - new image - 700 x 700 white background

1.  Copy/paste Frame 2 as new layer - resize if desired - position in center of canvas - with selection tool - free hand - trace around your first frame opening - selections - invert - copy/paste paper of choice - delete - copy/paste tube as new layer - position in frame - delete - selections - select none - repeat for other frame opening - drop shadow tube and frame layers

2.  Copy/paste Flower 1 as new layer - resize - position behind your paper layers (see my tag) - duplicate - image - flip - position - drop shadow both layers

3.  Copy/paste leaf pile as new layer - resize - position on right bottom of first frame opening - duplicate - image - mirror - position - merge down - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste indian corn as new layer - resize - rotate to left - position over leaf pile - duplicate - image - mirror - position - merge down - drop shadow - repeat for flower 2

5.  Copy/paste leaves and rope as new layer - resize - position - drop shadow

6.  Close out white background - merge visible - duplicate - on original layer - adjust - blur - gaussian blur 15 - effects - texture - blinds 17, 100 color - one from tag - adjust - add/remove noise - uniform - monochrome - 57

7.  Crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

PTU Tutorial - Push


Push

Supplies:

Tubes of choice (at least one laying down) - I'm using the beautiful ladies of Keith Garvey.  You need a license to use his art.  You can purchase tubes/license at his store HERE.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great kit by Skulliez Skraps called "I Heart The '80s".  You can purchase this kit at PMTw/S.

Template - I'm using a template by Linda from Creative Misfits.  You can download this template HERE.

Mask

Font - I'm using Sweetly Broken

Filters - Xero Radiance and Porcelain, Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open your tubes, mask, and template in PSP - minimize your tubes and mask - change canvas size of template to 800 x 675 flood fill white

1.  On your template - delete credits - beginning with pink circles layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - hit delete on keyboard - select none - rename this layer "pink" circles - repeat for your other template layers renaming each one as the original layer as you go - delete original layers

2.  On your shapes layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste 3 of your tubes as new layer - resize each one - position one to each shape - selections - invert - delete - selections -select none - click on your first tube - using your eraser remove any parts of the tube that are in the other frames - repeat for each tube - drop shadow - merge your tubes together - duplicate - on bottom tube layer - effects - plugins - Xero Radiance - on top tube layer - change properties to screen

3.  On frameback layer - selections - select all - float - defloat - copy/paste 3 more tubes as new layers - selections - invert - delete - select none - with eraser remove the parts that overlap - duplicate this layer - effects - plugins - Xero Porcelain - on top tube layer - change properties to Luminance (L)

4.  Copy/paste any elements of choice as new layers - resizing and arranging on tag to your preference - drop shadow each layer - copy/paste main tube as new layer - resize - position - drop shadow - on your shapes, circle, and oval layers add a slight gradient glow color of choice ( I used black) - drop shadow your frames layer

5.  On white background - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply - delete original mask - merge group

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag to preference - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Scrap Kit - I'm using a cute Halloween kit from TammyKat at TK Designz called "Black Cats & Potions".    You can purchase this kit at PMTw/S.

Mask - I'm using WSL Mask 81 which you can get HERE.

Font - I'm using Feathergraphy Decoration

Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now - new image 700 x 700 white background

1.  Copy/paste paper tree as new layer - resize if needed - position in center of canvas - add a slight glow to tree color white - duplicate - image - mirror - duplicate again - image - mirror - rearrange to your preference

2.  Copy/paste spider web as new layer - resize - image - mirror - position over trees 

3.  Copy/paste your tube as  a new layer - resize - mirror if wanted - position on left side of tag - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste fence as new layer - resize - position - drop shadow - copy/paste beaded string of choice - resize - position along top of fence - drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste any other elements you wish - resizing and positioning around your tag - I used black cat, cauldron, broom, and potion bottles - add a gradient glow to any elements that blend into each other and drop shadow the rest

6.  On white background - copy/paste paper of choice - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply and delete original mask - merge group

7.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and your name - save as .png

Filter - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 Constellation

To begin open tube and mask in PSP - minimize for now - new image 700 x 700 white background

1.  Copy/paste square frame as new layer - resize - with magic wand click inside frame - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - copy/paste your close up as new layer - position in frame - delete - selections - select none - on tube layer change properties to Luminance (L) and opacity to 83 - drop shadow frame layer

2.  C/P ribbon01 as new layer - resize - position on top of frame - duplicate - image - flip - drop shadow both layers

3.  C/P flower of choice - resize - position on top left corner of frame - copy/paste skull charm of choice - resize - position over flower - copy/paste another flower of choice - resize smaller than your first and position over top of the charm and first flower - drop shadow all layers

4.  Copy/paste cupcake and teddy as new layers - resize - position on bottom right corner of frame - drop shadow both layers

5.  Copy/paste paper clip as new layer - position on top right corner of frame - with eraser remove part of the clips so it appears to be attached to frame ( see my tag) - drop shadow

6.  Copy/paste your main tube as new layer - mirror if needed ( you want it facing the opposite as the one in frame) - position and drop shadow

7.  Click on white background - c/p paper of choice - layers - new mask layer from image - apply - delete original mask layer - merge group - filters - xenofex constellation with the following settings:  3.25, 50, 50, 25, 50, 75, keep original image - apply - you can take your pick tool and push/pull the mask to your preference

8.  Close out whitebackground - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

To begin open tube in PSP - minimize for now - new 700 x 700 image white background

1.  Copy/paste e5 as new layer - position in center of canvas - with magic wand click inside frame - selections - modify - expand by 6 - copy/paste pp5 as new layer - position in frame - selections - invert - delete - leave selected - copy/paste e6 as new layer - position - hit delete on keyboard - selections - select none

2.  Copy/paste the following elements :  e2, e10, e11 - resize - position around frame - copy/paste wolf of choice - resize - mirror if needed - position

3.  Copy/paste e51 as new layer - resize - position on bottom of tag - copy/paste your tube - resize - position

4.  Copy/paste basket - resize - position on tag - copy/paste apple - resize - position - duplicate - resize again - position - drop shadow all layers except your misted image

5.  Click on white background - copy/paste e40 as new layer - position - copy/paste e36 as new layer - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license information ( if using an Elias tube purchased from new store make sure you add correct copyright as it is different than what has been used previously) - add name - save as .png

PTU Tut: Blue Bird

This tutorial was written by me on August 20 using PSP X4. All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the beautiful art of Zlata_M.  You must have a license to use this tube.  You can purchase a license and tubes at Scraps&TheCity.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a beautiful kit by Gemini Creationz.  You can purchase this kit at Scraps&TheCity as well.

Mask of choice - I can't remember where I got the one I used, but any circle mask will do

Font - I'm using Honey Script

To begin open your mask and tube in PSP - minimize for now - new 700 x 700 image white background

1.  Copy/paste e26 as a new layer - center in canvas - copy/paste e1 as new layer - position towards top of tag - duplicate - image - mirror then flip - position towards bottom of tag

2.  Copy/paste e2 as new layer - position in center of canvas - drop shadow - copy/paste e7 as new layer - position below frame - delete any part sticking above frame - drop shadow

3.  Copy/paste e44 as new layer - position towards top of frame - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste e13 as new layer - position towards bottom of tag - drop shadow - c/p e18 as new layer - position on right side of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers

5.  Copy/paste e15 as new layer - resize if needed - position on tag - drop shadow - copy/paste e12 as new layer - position so it appears to be sitting on bench - drop shadow - copy/paste e11 - resize - position on top of cage - drop shadow

6.  Copy/paste e38 as new layer - position on left side of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers

7.  Copy/paste tube as new layer - resize - position on tag - drop shadow

8.  Click on frame layer - copy/paste paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply - delete original mask - merge group - move this layer below frame and sparkle curtain layer

9.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Scrap Kit - I'm using a beautiful kit from Lexis Creationz called "Showgirl".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to get this great kit.

Mask - I'm using WSL mask84 which you can download HERE.

Font - I'm using Eutemia I

Filters:  Xero Porcelain, Soft Vignette and Radiance

To begin open up your tube(s) and mask in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 image white background - copy/paste frame 3 as a new layer - resize - position in center of canvas - with magic wand while holding shift key click inside each circle - selections - modify - expand by 4 - copy/paste a paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - select none - move paper layer below frame

2.  Back on frame layer - click inside first circle - selections - modify - expand by 4 - copy/paste your tube ( or first choice if using multiple tubes ) as a new layer - position how you want - selections - invert - delete - repeat for your other 2 circles - move your tube layers below frame and drop shadow along with frame layer

3.  On your first tube - effects - plugins - apply Xero Porcelain - on 2nd tube apply Soft Vignette, and on 3rd tube Radiance all on default

4.  Copy/paste your tube again and position on tag - resize if necessary and drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste any elements of choice as new layers - resizing if needed - drop shadow each layer : I used the following elements - bag, butterfly, car, cat, heart1, hearts, ribbon 1 and sparkles

6.  Back on white background - copy/paste another paper - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply - delete original mask layer - merge group

7.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag and add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 image white background - with your preset shape tool - ellipse - oval width 12 drag out your frame - convert to raster - with magic wand click on black color on frame - copy/paste paper of choice Into selection - selections - select none

2.  Click inside frame with magic wand - selections - modify - expand by 4 - copy/paste another paper as new layer - selections - invert delete - select none - click inside frame once more - copy/paste tube as new layer - resize - with eraser remove parts of tube you don't want showing - selections - select none - drop shadow frame and tube

3.  Click on paper layer - copy/paste Haunted House as new layer - resize - position in frame - with eraser remove parts sticking outside of frame - drop shadow

4.  Click on frame layer - copy/paste flower vine - resize - position on top of frame - drop shadow - copy/paste sign post - resize - position on right side of frame - drop shadow - copy/paste witch hat as new layer - resize - rotate - position on top of sign post - drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste ghost as new layer - resize - position on tag - drop shadow - c/p Halloween tag as new layer - resize - rotate and position on top left of tag - drop shadow

6.  Copy/paste the following elements, resizing and rotating as needed :  witches broom, spooky spells, witches cauldron - position along bottom of tag - drop shadow each layer

7.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

Scrap Kit of choice - I'm using both Good Girl and Bad Girl by Pimp'd Designz.  You can purchase these kits at Pimp My Tags w/Scraps.

Font - I'm using MA Sexy

Filters - Muras Copies and Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open up your tubes in PSP and minimize - open a new 850 x 650 blank image - floodfill white

1.  C/P stamp from "Bad Girl" kit - position on left hand side of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - c/p flower 01 from same kit - resize if desired - position towards top left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - merge down - duplicate - image - flip - position - merge flower layers together - drop shadow

2.  C/P doodle from "Good Girl" kit as new layer - resize if desired - objects - align - center in canvas - effects - plugins - Mura Meister copies with the following settings ( you may have to play around with x and y depending on size of doodle), drop shadow:



3.  Copy/paste wings from Good Girl as new layer - resize - rotate - position on top left of tag - drop shadow - copy/paste dark wings from Bad Girl as new layer - resize - rotate - position on top right of tag - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste bead branch and flower 02 from Good Girl as new layers - resize - position on left side of tag - drop shadow both layers - copy/paste flower 02 as new layer - resize if wanted - position on right side of tag - drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste ribbon 01 from Bad Girl as new layer - resize - position on top left of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers

6.  Copy/paste your tubes positioning your bad girl tube on the left side , good girl on right, and your third tube in the center - resize to your preference - click on bad girl tube and c/p flames from that kit - resize - drop shadow - click on good girl tube and c/p cloud as new layer - resize - drop shadow - click on third tube - c/p wing heart as new layer - resize - position on bottom of middle tube - drop shadow

7.  Click on top layer - c/p both words arts from each kit - position - resize - drop shadow

8.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license and name - save as .png

New Layout

PTU TUT: Fairy Tale


Fairy Tale

This tutorial was written by me on August 17 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the beautiful art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You need a license to use this image.  You can purchase his tubes and a license at his store HERE.

Scrap Kit of choice - I'm using an amazing kit from Designs by Sarah called " A Sorta Fairytale".  You can purchase this great kit at Pimp My Tags w/Scraps.

Mask - I am using zuzzana mask 60 which you can get HERE .  It is the 9th mask listed.

Font of choice - I'm using akaFrivolity

To begin open mask and tube in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open a new 700 x 550 image white - c/p a paper of choice as a new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - invert mask data checked - apply zuzzana's mask - delete original mask layer - merge group - this is going to be our frame

2.  Copy/paste lights as new layer - resize if wanted - position - copy/paste bricks as new layer - position - drop shadow

3.  Copy/paste branch 2 as new layer - resize and rotate 90 left - position on left side of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers - copy/paste moon as new layer - image - mirror - position on right side of tag and move below the branch layers

4.  Copy/paste clouds as new layer - position towards top of tag 

5.  Copy/paste flowers 1 as new layer - resize if needed - position on bottom of tag - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow both layers

6.  Copy/paste quill and ink as new layer - resize - position on left of tag - drop shadow - c/p ribbon charm as new layer - position towards top of tag - drop shadow

7.  Copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize if desired - position and drop shadow

8.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag and add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

PTU TUT : Mystery


Mystery

This tutorial was written by me on August 16 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - The one I'm using is a bonus tube from Keith Garvey and is available only until Sept. 16.  You need a license to use this image and you can purchase his tubes and a license at his new store HERE.

Scrap Kit of choice - I'm using a great kit by Pimp'd Designz called "Blood Bond".  You can purchase this kit at Pimp My Tags w/Scraps.

Mask of Choice - I'm using WSL Mask 4 which you can get HERE.

Font of choice - I'm using Feathergraphy Decoration

To begin open your mask and tube in PSP - minimize for now

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 image white background - c/p frame 2 as new layer - resize if desired - image - free rotate - left 90 - click inside frame with magic wand - selections - modify 8 - selections - invert - c/p paper of choice as new layer - hit delete - deselect

2.  Copy/paste tube as new layer - resize - position in frame - duplicate - move duplicate above frame - using eraser tool remove parts of tube you don't want showing - drop shadow bottom tube layer and frame layer

3.  Copy/paste curtain as new layer - resize and position on top right of frame ( there will be some tube showing and we will remove that in just a bit) - copy/paste ribbon 3 as new layer - resize and position over curtain - drop shadow - now with eraser tool erase the parts of the curtain that are showing outside of the ribbon - click on tube layer and do the same here (see my tag) - drop shadow curtain

4.  Copy/paste sparkles as new layer - resize and position on bottom of tag - c/p envelope - resize and rotate - position on bottom left side of tag - c/p fastener 1 as new layer - resize and position - drop shadow both layers

5.  Click on white background layer - c/p print 1 as new layer - resize - position up towards top of tag ( see mine) - duplicate - flip- position towards bottom of tag - merge these layers together and duplicate - image - free rotate - left 90 - using pick tool compress this layer just a bit

6.  Copy/paste cloud as new layer - resize - position near top of tag - duplicate 3x and arrange each layer (see my tag)

7.  Copy/paste flower as new layer - resize and position towards bottom of tag - duplicate however many you want and arrange along bottom - merge together and drop shadow

8.  Back on white background - copy/paste paper of choice - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply mask - delete original mask layer - merge group

9.  Close white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license info and name - save as .png

PTU TUT : RockABilly

RockABilly

This tutorial was written by me on August 16 using PSP X4. All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies : 

Tube of choice - I'm using the wicked art of Shayne Bohner.  You must have a license to use this image.  You can purchase tubes and a license from Artistically Inclined Licensing.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a couple of  PTU kits from Kaci @ Scrappin' Krazy Designs called "Rockabilly" and "Rockabilly Wedding" .  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to get these great kits.

Font of choice - I'm using A Gothique Time

To begin open your tube in PSP and minimize 

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 blank image  white background - we are going to create the background for your frame - c/p ele25 from "Rockabilly" - center in canvas - c/p the following elements and layer them  ele37, ele38, and ele71 - resizing ele71 and positioning towards bottom of background

2.  Copy/paste ele55 from "Rockabilly Wedding" as new layer - drop shadow - c/p your tube as new layer - duplicate - move duplicate below frame layer

3.  With your eraser tool - erase the parts of each tube layer you do not want showing - drop shadow bottom tube layer only

4.  Copy/paste ele72 as new layer - resize - position on bottom of tag - drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste ele41 as new layer - resize - position on bottom of frame - drop shadow

6.  Copy/paste the following elements ele12, ele40, and ele68 - resize - arrange on bottom of tag

7.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

That's it!  Pretty easy and would love to see what ya do with my tutorial!

PTU TUT: Summer Beauty


Summer Beauty

This tutorial was written by me on August 16 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using the art of Ismael Rac.  You must have a license to use his art.  Visit his site HERE to purchase tubes and license.

Scrap Kit - I'm using a great PTU kit from MistyLynns Creations called "Summer Fantasy".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to purchase this great kit.

Mask - I'm using WSL Mask62.  You can find it HERE.

Font of choice - I'm using Arizonia

This is an easy tutorial so to begin just open your tube and mask in PSP and minimize for now.

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 new image white background - c/p Frame 3 as new layer - resize - c/p Frame 2 as new layer - resize same - move below other frame - merge these layers together 

2.  Click inside frame layer with magic wand - c/p Paper of choice as new layer - selections - invert - delete - c/p sparkle as new layer - delete - c/p tube as new layer - duplicate - bring duplicate above frame layer - with eraser tool remove the bottom part of tube showing below frame - deselect - drop shadow tube and frame layers

3.  Copy/paste ribbons of choice as new layers - resize - position on frame - merge together - drop shadow - c/p butterfly of choice - resize - using pick tool rotate just a bit - position over ribbons on frame - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste any other elements you want, resizing as needed and position on tag.  I used purse, lipstick, polish and cellphone - drop shadow each layer

5.  On white background layer - copy/paste another paper - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply mask - delete original mask layer and merge group - duplicate this layer - merge down

6.  Close out white background - crop/resize tag to your preference ( I use 625 pixels on longest side) - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

PTU TUT : It's A Tagger Thing

It's A Tagger Thing

This tutorial was written by me on August 15 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice : I'm using the ever amazing art of Elias Chatzoudis.  You can purchase his tubes and a license at his store Elias Art Shop.

Scrap Kit of choice:  I'm using a great PTU kit from Lexi Creations called "PSP Junkie".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where to purchase this kit.

Font(s) of Choice:  I'm using Reklame Script Regular for name & Peas Ruth for lettering on PostIt element

Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow * optional * : you can get the same effect from drop shadow

To begin open up your tube in PSP - minimize - new image - 700 x 700 white background

1.  On your new image copy/paste Frame 1 as new layer - resize to your preference - with magic wand click inside frame - selections - modify - expand by 8 - copy/paste Paper 12 as new layer - selections - invert - delete - copy/paste Sparkles 2 as new layer - position over paper - delete - copy/paste tube as new layer - move above frame layer - using eraser tool erase the part of tube showing below frame opening - selections - select none - drop shadow tube and frame layers

2.  Click on frame layer - copy/paste Flower curtain as new layer - resize - position on frame at the top right corner - drop shadow - copy/paste Toolbar as new layer - position on left side of frame - do not drop shadow

3.  Copy/paste Flower 1 as new layer - resize - position on bottom right of frame - drop shadow - move above tube layer

4.  Copy/paste PostIt as new layer - resize and move to bottom left of frame - using a font of your choice ( I used Peas Ruth) write out wording of choice ( I created a To Do List) - depending on your font you may have to create each line of text as separate layers - when happy - close out all layers except your PostIt and wording layers - merge visible - drop shadow - open other layers

5.  Copy/paste Pencil and USB as new layers - resize - position on tag - drop shadow both layers

6.  Copy/paste Wordart1 as new layer - resize - position on tag - add a gradient glow or drop shadow of choice to this layer - copy/paste Sparkles1 as a new layer - resize and position on bottom of tag 

7.  Close out white background and merge visible - open white background - duplicate your merged layer 2x and move them below original layer, but above white background - on bottom duplicate - image - free rotate 20 left - repeat for other duplicate but rotate right - merge these 2 layers together - adjust - blur - gaussian blur - 10 

8.  Close out white background - crop - merged opaque - resize tag if needed ( I resize mine to 625 pixels on longest side) - add copyright/license information and name - save as .png

PTU TUT: Autumn Dreams



Autumn Dreams

This tutorial was written by me on August 14 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice - I'm using a tube from Anna Marine.  You can purchase her tubes and a license at CDO.

Scrap Kit of choice - I'm using a beautiful Autumn kit from Schnegge's Scraps called "An Autumn Romance".  You can purchase this beautiful kit at Pimp My Tags w/ Scraps.

Mask - I'm using WSL Mask 84  which you can get HERE.

Font - I'm using Jellyka BeesAntique Handwriting

Filters - Muras Copies - Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open your tube and mask in PSP - minimize

1.  Open a new 700 x 700 image - white background - copy/paste Old Paper element as new layer - resize if needed - duplicate - image - free rotate - 20 right - back on original - duplicate again - rotate 20 left 

2. Copy/paste Frame03 as new layer - c/p Floral Vine01 as new layer - image - flip - position over frame - duplicate - image - mirror - drop shadow your frame and vine layers

3.  Copy/paste Bow01 as new layer - image - flip - position near top right of frame - drop shadow - c/p Bow10 as new layer - position near top left of frame - drop shadow

4.  Copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize if needed and position over frame - drop shadow

5.  Copy/paste Butterfly01 as new layer - resize if needed - position on tag - drop shadow

6.  Copy/paste Heart08 as new layer - resize if needed - position on tag - drop shadow

7.  Copy/paste Flower08 or one of your choosing as new layer - resize - objects - align - center in canvas - effects - plugins - Mura Meisters Copies with the following settings (you may need to tweak the X - Y settings depending on the size of flower):



Move your flower circle layer beneath your frame layer - drop shadow

8.  Click on white background layer - c/p Leave07 as new layer - position behind your flower layer - repeat Muras filter changing the amount to 4 - drop shadow

9. Back on white background - c/p paper of choice as new layer - layers - new mask layer - from image - apply mask and delete original mask layer - merge group

10. Close out background layer - crop/resize tag to your preference - add copyright/license information and name ( I added a slight gradient glow to name) - save as .png

This tutorial was written by me on August 14 using PSP X4.  All my tutorials assume you have some working knowledge of PSP and/or Animation Shop.

Supplies:

Tube of choice:  I'm using the sexy art of Barbara Jensen.  You can purchase her tubes and license at her site HERE.

A Gothic or Halloween background of your choice - I can't remember where I got mine so I can't share, but there are lots of great FTU background available at DeviantArt.  Just do a search for Gothic Backgrounds.

Scrap Kit of choice:  I'm using a great PTU kit from Gothic Inspirations called "Beautiful Monster".  Visit her blog HERE to find out where you can purchase this kit along with her amazing creations.

Font of Choice:  I'm using Bleeding Cowboys

Filters Used:

Xero Bad Dream - DSB Flux Bright Noise - Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow

To begin open your tube in PSP and minimize - open background image

1.  Open a new blank image 600 x 250 white background - copy/paste your background as new layer - resize as needed and position - crop excess

2.  Copy/paste mist as new layer - resize -position - crop again

3.  Copy/paste leaves as new layer - resize - position - crop

4.  Copy/paste curtain as new layer - position towards the upper right corner of tag - resize - crop - using change to target tool change the color of the curtain to black 

5.  Copy/paste crow as new layer - resize - image - mirror - position 

6.  Drop shadow your layers and merge visible - effects - Xero Bad Dream - play with the settings until you can effect you like - apply

7.  Copy/paste your tube as new layer - resize and position - effects - Xero Bad Dream - adjust settings to your liking - apply - drop shadow 

8.  Crop merge opaque - selections - select all - selections - modify - select selection borders - 4 - layers - new raster - flood fill with a color from tag - selections - select none - effects - 3D effects - inner bevel - apply - effects - DSB Flux Bright Noise

9.  Add copyright/license and name - save as .png

For your avatar follow the same steps above, but at a smaller scale.
